  Equine Veterinary, LLC is proud to welcome its newest member to the team, Dr. Clayton Smith.Dr. Smith is a 2009 graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. Clayton grew up in Seymour, Tx. and has worked with and around horses for the majority of his life. Prior to his arrival at Equine Veterinary LLC, he completed a one year surgery and medicine internship at prestigious Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center in Los Olivos, Ca. Dr. Smith's main interests are with equine lameness, imaging and diagnostics; as well as field surgery and reproduction. During his time in California, he worked with nuclear scintigraphy, MRI, and digital imaging as well as upper airway evaluations and radiographic analysis of performance horses. Dr. Smith was also involved with stem cell therapy for ligament, tendon, and joint injuries. His surgery and medicine experience has given him the background, technical skills and understanding to provide your horse with the best care possible. Dr. Smith has been exposed to many aspects of the equine industry from high level show horses to back yard pets. We are very excited and fortunate to have Dr. Smith working with us. In his spare time, Clayton enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, Emily. Equine Veterinary LLC is an ambulatory equine practice serving the northeast valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The practice was started by Dr. Otto Stanislaw Jr. in August of 2005. Our practice focuses primarily on the equine athlete, but we offer a full range of services from dental work to embryo flushes. More detailed information can be found on the Services page. Dr. Stanislaw draws from more than thirty years of equine experience as both an owner and exhibitor. Otto has a working understanding of the requirements and stresses that are placed upon show horses because he has shown different breeds and competed in different disciplines. Otto combines his experience as a horseman with his medical training to provide the latest clinical skills and compassionate care you expect for the equine members of your family.
